Wrapper : The wrapper on this copy is bright, unfaded and complete. It is wear to the spine ends. The spine is unfaded. There is a touch of toning to the margins of the inside flaps. Looks sharp.
Book : The book is square and very tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The boards are clean and unfaded, the corners sharp. The spine ends are bruised. The pages are clean - there is ghosting to the ffep. The closed page edges are a little dusty. No dog-eared pages. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges. This copy has been INSCRIBED to the ffep by the author : ' Signed by the author for his friend at Swanwick, Ina Wemyss. With kindest regards, John Boland. August 1955 '. A nice copy in a protected wrapper.
