A Crime in Time ( Original Dustwrapper Artwork )
This is the ORIGINAL, hand painted Collins Crime Club dustwrapper artwork for the Collins Crime Club title, A Crime in Time. The book, by Miles Burton, was later to be published in 1955. This piece is hand-painted on card in white and blue, with red and white lettering. Crime Club motifs have been mounted on. This in turn has been mounted on a light white board. The colours on the actual published jacket are the same as those painted here. The piece measures 24.5cm by 20 cm. This piece is in excellent condition. The colours are bright bold and sharp. None of the colours have faded and there are no ugly blemishes or marks. The margins of the white board include pencilled instructions to the printer, with further instructions and details on a pink slip pasted to the back. This piece has been SIGNED by the artist, William Randell. Unique.
