Wrapper: The wrapper is bright and - unusually for this title - unfaded at the spine. It shows chipping and scuffing at the upper edges and at the head of the spine and light surface creasing at the lower edges. There is slight loss at the base of the spine. Looks sharp in protective plastic.
Book : The book is clean, square and tight. The spine ends are bruised. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are unmarked. No foxing. There is an ownership inscription as well as a gift inscription on the ffep. Tight binding - no loose or dog-eared pages. This copy has been FLAT SIGNED to the title page by David Attenborough.
