Volumes VI & VII from the Memorial Edition of the Works of Burton. Edited by Isabel Burton. Two volumes. Black cloth, spine lettered in gilt. Gilt designs to both front and back boards. First Edition thus and first issue of the Memorial Edition. No wrappers. The books are bright and tight. The front and back boards are bright and clean, showing fairly inconsequential dulling in patches. The upper corners on volume II are bruised. The gilt on the boards and spines is bright. The spines are bruised at the top and bottom. The pages are clean and without foxing. The closed page edges are unmarked. The bindings are tight - no loose pages or cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. Very nice copies.
