Original beige buckram, decorated front board. Gilt lettering to front board and spine. A UK first edition thus. The book is in very nice condition. The boards are clean. The front board shows light rubbing to the edges and main body ( less than is normally seen ) and light rubbing to all the corners. The gilt lettering on the front board is bright and bold. The spine has gently darkened. The spine ends are bruised. The back board is clean and fresh. The leading edge corners are gently bruised. Internally, the pages are clean. The opening few pages are foxed.The closed page edges are spotted. The binding is solid with no loose pages. There is a tidy gift inscription ( dated 1919 ) on the ffep. A decent copy.
