16th thousandth stated on the wrapper with a 3/6 sticker over the 2/6 Blue Star Library circle on the spine. Undated but circa 1928.
Wrapper : The evocative period wrapper on this copy is bright, clean and complete. It is unclipped. It shows gentle wear and rubbing at the edges, but is otherwise very well preserved. There is no fading to the spine. Looks very sharp in protective plastic.
Book : The book is square and very tight. The boards are very clean and are unfaded. The corners are sharp. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are are bright, showing occasional spotting. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. There is a discreet dated ownership stamp on the ffep. A well preserved copy in a protected wrapper.
